Thank you 2019, what a year! But I think 2020 could be epic!

As we see out 2019, we look back at those special moments of why the year was another Women’s Rugby Academy success.

2018/2019 season

February – Worthing College gain Sussex County recognition.

February – Another successful Open Day, welcoming Year 11 students and our friends from Italy.
Trophy 1
March – Winning back to back AoC National Women’s Cup. The only team in the tournaments history to do so.  
March – Sussex Schools 7s winners

April – AoC South East team achieves Bronze at the National Champs. 7 from 12 coming from Worthing College

June – Winners of the AoC Mixed National Touch Rugby. 6 times in a row!!!!!!
July – Worthing College Alumni win Worthing 7s, raising £550 for Ferring Country Centre. Players from the last 8 years in attendance! Thanks to everyone involved. 


2019/2020 Season

In the 2019/2020 season we welcomed our highest number of players into the Sporting Excellence Programme.

August – Pre Season kicks off. This talented group includes: 1 England Talent Development, 2 Tyrells Premiership, 10 Centre of Excellence, 7 Italian Regionals, and 16 Sussex Players. 




October – December – The Blues 1st team undefeated in the 2019/2020 season!

October – December – The Greens Development team undefeated in the 2019/2020 season. Winning the AoC South East Development League.

Worthing  Womens Rugby Sporting Excellence Academy continue their unbeaten season with strong wins against SGS Filton and Exeter College.
