SUCCESS FOR WORTHING COLLEGE AT THE SUSSEX SCHOOLS CROSS COUNTRY CHAMPIONSHIPS

On Wednesday 18th January Worthing College took 4 students to Waterhall, Brighton to compete in the Sussex Schools Cross Country Championships. Lenny Weaver, Owen Knight, Jack Wilson and Faye Murton all braved the cold weather conditions and ran extremely well.

cross-country-2Lenny Weaver finished 6th in the U20 boys competition and Faye Murton finished 12th in the U20 girls both qualifying for the South East Schools Inter Counties Cross Country race in February at Bexhill. Owen and Jack narrowly missed out on qualification finishing in the 20s which was a great achievement.

Well done to all of the runners who took part.
