Worthing College came up against Shoreham Academy in what started to be a quick match from the off. Shoreham started off the scoring by getting a quick basket at the start however Worthing started the game very quick and went on an 11-0 run. Worthing’s pace started to slow and Shoreham came back with a run and the first quarter ended with Worthing up 3 points.

basketball action b 2018Worthing picked up the pace for the second quarter and started to force a lot of turnovers for Shoreham meaning Worthing could push to score in transition. With some good defence from Fernando Pulle and Bryan Salugao we managed to continue the scoring in transition.

basketball c action 2018The second half was a lot of the same for Worthing as they continued to score in transition and force turnovers for Shoreham. Gerald Brummerhoff and Aidan Taylor provided great energy off the bench which helped keep the team morale high throughout the game.

Basketball action 2018It was a very good performance from the whole team and everyone managed to get onto the score sheet. Worthing look onto next week where they will face Collyers in the AOC Cup.
