Worthing College netball 2nd team braved the cold weather to play Alton in the Hampshire League. The girls started off well with both Phillippa and Kyra shooting well and some nice feeds in by Holly and Anna. The defensive unit of Ruth, Maddy and Billie were working well together turning over lots of ball – qtr time 13-6 to Worthing. In the 2nd quarter the girls continued to play well with both teams showing high skill levels. Billie intercepted the ball numerous times creating chances for the attack to score which they did – half time 26-15 to Worthing.
In the second half coach Tina changed a few positions with Ruth going into shoot and Kyra back in defence with Maddy. The 3rd quarter was Worthing’s best with the girls keeping up the high intensity – leading 45-21 at the end of the 3rd quarter. Going into the final quarter more changes were made showing the versatility of the players. Phillippa moved to centre, Holly into defence with Kyra and Ruth shooting. This did not disrupt the flow with everyone continuing to play well – final score was 55-26 to Worthing.
