Worthing College netball squads were at home to Farnborough Sixth Form College in the Hampshire League.
The 1st team started off very well with the defensive unit of Iona, Charlotte and Kira stopping the flow of the Farnborough attack getting numerous interceptions. Qtr 1 11-3 to Worthing. Farnborough started to improve their play in the 2nd quarter but both Bethen and Livvy were shooting well – half time 22-11 to Worthing.
Second half the Worthing girls started to tire a little so Tina introduced Lauren at centre who made an immediate impact on the game. Some lovely feeds into the circle and relentless defence enabled the Worthing team to win 45-23.

The 2nd team had a very close match against Farnborough 2nds with both teams showing great skills throughout the court. At qtr time it was 9-9 so very close. The second qtr the Worthing girls managed to get some crucial interceptions by Lauren in particular and both Ruth and Phillippa were shooting well – half time 22-19 to Worthing.
Fran and Emily were introduced in the 3rd quarter and the Worthing team stepped up a gear to increase their lead. Some great defence by Keeleigh, Holly and Billie linking up well with the attack – 35-24 at 3 qtr time. The final quarter was more close as Farnborough never gave up but the Worthing team won 43-32 for a convincing win.

Next Wednesday both teams are at home in the quarter finals of the Sussex Cup – 1st team v BHASVIC, 2nd team v Collyers – looking forward to both games.
