Worthing hosted Collyers in the Sussex League at Worthing College. The girls started off well with Yasmin and Charlotte combining well in the circle and converting their shots. Ruth and Cally turned over the ball in defence and Worthing capitalised – qtr time 15-9 to Worthing.

In the second quarter Collyers were the dominant team and Worthing did not respond well to their injection of pace. The girls were not disciplined and gave away far too many penalties allowing Collyers to win the quarter 15-7.

The third quarter did not see much of an improvement and Collyers went further in front leading at the end of the 3rd quarter 36-28. In the final quarter the Worthing team started to play much better with Kira making some lovely drives down the court and seeing the space in the circle. Although the girls won the final quarter they ran out of time and lost the match 41-36.

Player of the match – Kira Walters
