Worthing College faced Collyers in the AOC Basketball League today.

Despite LJ Millera starting the game strong with a 3pt shot, Worthing found themselves down early on against Collyers but a 10 point scoring streak from Tom Swindells off the bench late in the 1st quarter stopped Collyers running away with the lead and Worthing went into the 2nd period down 16-17.

2nd quarter – Collyers led for 9 minutes, but Toby Pennels sparked a defensive effort late in the period giving Worthing a 6-0 run and a 39-37 lead going into half time.

3rd quarter – Worthing moved the ball well scoring some fantastic team baskets but failed to limit Collyers scoring and the score was tied 55-55 going into the 4th.

4th quarter – Worthing continued the fantastic ball movement which seemed to wear Collyers down as Worthing ran away with the lead in the 4th to eventually win the game 77-69.

Excellent team performance from the boys as 5 players had double figures scoring, Aaran Vincent led all scorers with 17.
