AoC 1st Trial.

The 7th December saw the first selection for the AoC South East team. A team selected from the best 12 players from AoC Associated Colleges.

Six AASE players (already selected for the team) from Worthing were rested to make way for a new crop of players competing in their first game for the College B team (called the Greens)

The first match against Collyers saw the girls start with a bang, with Ella Pinkney, Tatum Gabriel and Nadia Bral leading the way with some great runs. The pressure finally told for Collyers with Ella and Nadia scoring under the posts to put the girls 12-0 up at half-time. Collyers hit back straight after the break, however Tatum steadied the ship with a great break to put the game beyond doubt. Further scores from Hannah Dunn-Coleman and Ella Pinkney made it 29-5 to Worthing.

The second match for the Greens was against a Bexhill/Godalming combined side. It was the visitors who struck first with a great solo run, which unfortunately caught the Greens napping. Ella Pinkney then brought it back for Worthing, who was really throwing her hat in the ring for an AoC spot. The game intensified with Bexhill scoring another try, however it was Ella Pinkney again who brought the Greens back to just two behind. The game finely poised, it was Bexhill/Godalming who broke the tension to score out wide on the final whistle. Final score 17-10.
