Worthing College netball 1st team took a trip to Brockenhurst College to play in the 2nd round of the AOC Cup. The girls knew this would be a tough encounter and they were up for the challenge.

First quarter was a nervy affair for both teams and it took the girls a while to adjust to the short court at Brock, end of 1st quarter was 7-5. Worthing started to settle in the second quarter with some great shooting from Yasmin and some excellent drives in the goal third by Kira – half time 16-12.

In the second half Worthing continued to play well with the defence of Emily and Cally keeping the Brock attacking chances to a minimum whilst Faye and Lucy turned over the ball numerous times – 3 quarter time 26-20.

Coach Tina kept the team the same for the final quarter as Brock were still in with a chance. The Worthing girls stepped up their play with Charlotte and Yasmin shooting well and Kira dominating in attack. The final result was 38-24 which was a great scoreline, a very good team performance. Next round is 14th December.

Player of the match was Yasmin Payne.
