Worthing College hosted Bay House 1st and 2nd teams in the Hampshire netball league and won both matches.

The first team struggled in the first quarter finding their rhythm in attack and drew the 1st quarter 5-5. In the second quarter they played much better with Rebecca, Cally and Lucy getting numerous interceptions in defence which resulted in goals. Half time was 26-17.

The third quarter Worthing lacked concentration allowing Bay House to come back into the game, passes went astray and we only won that quarter 11-10. In the final quarter the girls finished well with some good drives and battled hard to end the game 35-21 winners. Player of the match was Lauren Rippon who used her speed well throughout the game.

The second team started off well creating a number of chances which converted in goals, quarter time was 9-5. In the second half Worthing continued to dominate scoring well – half time 20-9.

In the second half coach Tina made some interesting changes with Ruth and Emily swapping from defence to the shooting circle, this paid off and the girls played very well there. The final score was 42-17 to Worthing, player of the match was Chloe York.

Well done girls, two well deserved wins.

Next week Worthing are away to Brockenhurst in the AOC Cup which will be a big challenge.
