AOC League – Henley College v Worthing College

After a long bus journey to Henley we had a slow start and lost the 1st quarter 18-7. Aaron Vincent lead from the start with 6 of the 1st quarter points.

2nd quarter we showed more aggression, Adam Bettridge and Tom Swindells found them selves getting to the free throw line and we went into the halftime down 33-19.

In our halftime talk I asked us to step up our defence and in the 3rd quarter that’s what we did, limiting them to 12 points. Offensively this was our best quarter and we finished the period with a spark off the bench from Fernando Pulle who scored a tough lay up of a great backdoor pass from Aaron Vincent.

We entered the 4th quarter down 45-34 but we couldn’t quite pull off the comeback that we needed and the game finished 59-47 to Henley.

Aaron Vincent lead all scorers in the game with 22 points and Tom Swindells had 10 points. An encouraging start to our first League match.
