Worthing College Netball Academy hosted Collyers for an end of season friendly. Both teams played and resulted in 2 wins.

The first team had a tough game against a strong Collyers side. At the end of the 1st quarter it was 6-6 with both sides creating numerous chances. At half time Worthing were 3 up but struggling to find their form. Laura and Lucy were working hard in defence but a few mistakes centre court were enabling Collyers to capitalise. Still 3 up at the end of the 3rd quarter the girls decided they would up their game and in the final quarter Worthing won by 10 finishing the match 37-25. Faye was a deserved player of the match, lovely feeds into the circle and great awareness on court.

The second team started strong leading 12-5 at the end of the first quarter. By half time with some excellent shooting from Charlotte and Yasmin, Worthing were 24-9 up. The second half continued well with a strong defensive unit of Ruth, Emily and Chyna preventing Collyers getting the ball into the circle. The final result was an excellent 41 20 win to Worthing, Yasmin was named as player of the match for some great shooting.

Well done to both squads, enjoy the Easter break and we will return to training for the mixed netball tournament on 20th April.
