Worthing College vs Itchen College ESFA U18 Cup

First half Worthing started the game very strong with a number of attempts at goal with Lucy Steel and Valentine Pursey close to scoring. With numerous efforts to push the ball forward through the centre of the pitch, Worthing were unable to break the deadlock throughout the first half, Sara Tubby and Emily Baker helping to stop a number of attacks from Itchen. The first half finished 0-0. Second half with the down hill advantage Worthing were unable to put away their chances, Annie Rolf with a number of right wing runs, with the ball in the box Worthing were unable to put the ball away. Itchen’s first goal came from a central ball to the forward who was able to slot it past Molly Towers in goal. Their second goal came from a dribble from one of the Itchen players and a shot that went past Molly. Worthing didn’t lose spirit and continued to go forward with more chances, but Itchen were quick to defend stopping Worthing from scoring until the full time whistle.
