Worthing had a slow start but were dominating possession over Kingston College. Within 5 minutes they had scored their first goal with Annie Rolf’s low driven shot going into the bottom corner. Within another couple of minutes Worthing broke through again down the middle this time with Valentine scoring. Worthing were still strong in possession and playing some good combinations but failed to stay onside. Soon they broke through again but this time with Sara driving inside from the left to score.
A few minutes later and Kingston gained possession and attempted to play out the back, Sara pressed the full back high and went through to finish again.
Worthing started to spread play more using the wide areas and Niamh broke down the right hand side to cut a driven cross in to Valentine to run onto and finish.
With the back four sweeping up Kingston’s long balls through soon the girls were back in the attacking third and scored their 6th through a neat run from Hayley Bridge who placed her shot round the keeper.
Worthing won possession back quickly after the restart which saw Niamh break down the right hand side and cut in to finish in the top corner. Towards the end of the second half some good link up play saw Rowe play a great ball onto Bridge’s run to finish again.

In the second half Kingston came storming out with a new lease of energy, as soon as Worthing found possession they managed to dictate tempo and break forwards but were again found offside. 10 minutes into the second half Sara picked up possession outside the area and had a fantastic strike into the top hand corner to secure her hatrick. Kingston were still working hard to try and break Worthing down but Worthing started playing even quicker and found Rowe on the outside of the area who planted her long range shot in the top right hand corner. A change of formation meant Baker and Pallant both found themselves upfront threatening play well, Baker had several attempts but couldn’t quite convert. In the last 5 minutes Baker played a good 1-2 with Bridge to finish inside the area.
