Worthing 2 took a small road trip to Brighton this afternoon to play a game at Bhasvic.
It was a great opportunity to see how the girls had progressed, although I was only able to take 7 players due to illness but those 7 were really up for the game. We started really well taking a 5-1 lead but were unable to maintain our concentration and let them back into the game with some errors and missed shots. Quarter time 6-8 down.
A few words at quarter time although to be fair, the girls had worked it out for themselves and 2nd quarter started extremely well with us scoring 5 in a row, but again as the quarter progressed Bhasvic came back and quarter finished 14 all. Third quarter followed same pattern as the 1st 2 with us taking a five goal lead only to lose it.
Girls realised the error of their ways in the fourth and this time held the lead they built up. It was a good game, well contested, and a good result for the girls.
