Farnborough College v Worthing College – Hampshire Cup.

It was a very sluggish start to the game by Worthing after turning up with about ten minutes to go before kick off and having a five minute warm up. Farnborough were passing the ball around but never looked like troubling Worthing and a quick change in formation allowed Worthing to get a foot hold in the game. They never looked back scoring three quick goals in the space of 10 minutes which virtually sealed the game. Worthing weren’t finished, another goal and a wonderful strike by Chloe Johnson meant that Worthing went in at half time 5-0.

Second half started and Worthing were on the front foot, Annie Rolf causing all sorts of havoc up front for the Farnborough back line hitting the post twice. The goalkeeper made two or three saves with her legs before Annie finally got her goal. Worthing weren’t done with the goal scoring. A much changed side towards the end of the game for Worthing who utilised the bench to good effect, allowed them to push on and find two more goals coming from Dan Rowe and Jodie pallant. A convincing win in the end for Worthing who never looked like losing the game.

Full time, Farnborough 0- 9 Worthing
