WORTHING COLLEGE NETBALL 1ST TEAM V RICHARD TAUNTONS – A – W 65-12

This Wednesday Worthing 1 had the pleasure of driving to Southampton to play Tauntons indoors in the Hampshire League. The squad taken was those girls who will be playing on Saturday at Roedean in the Sussex Round of National Schools.

The game was unfortunately a very one sided affair with Worthing running out easy winners 65-12, the shooting combination of Begley and Watson proving far too strong for a weak Tauntons defence. The newly formed defensive partnership of O’Mahony and Forest and O’Mahony and Bowles worked well to prevent Tauntons attack.

We used the game more as a practice, to work on certain areas and the umpires made some very poor decisions to test the girls so we did get something out of the visit.

Saturdays opposition will prove much tougher as it will be Brighton College, Hurstpierpoint, Roedean etc however I am confident we will do well
