ECFA Elite League match, Worthing 1 – 3 Solihull.
Worthing started very brightly putting pressure on the opposition and winning the ball back quickly, Worthing created several opportunities in the first half with a number of crosses coming in from both flanks. It was from a great move down the right that Paige Adams crossed deep to the far post and Hayley Bridge was on hand to loop her header back over the GK to score. The game continued to be tight but Worthing were comfortable.
The second half started with Solihull driving forward and not allowing Worthing a rest bite, this caused problems with Worthing’s defence and from a couple of poor clearances the opposition finished off their chances. With 10 minutes to go Pidduck chased down a back pass to the goalkeeper which left her stranded. Her shot was somehow cleared off the line from a recovering defender.
