BCS National Cup quarter final.
This was a very tight game, the pitch was a but sticky which made it difficult to pass properly and the ball changed hands often, there were a few half chances in the first half where if players took a little more time could have got a good strike on goal but hurried their shots.
The second half continued in a similar vein but Worthing were starting to look more threatening as the half went on with Adams pace causing Oxford problems. From a great short corner between Howells and Green seeing the latter’s shots fall to Pidduck who finished from close range, Oxford pushed players forward to try to equalise but Worthing stood fast and from a quick break, Adams attacked down the right cut in on her left and fired a shot past the goalkeeper from the edge of the box. The players came a way a bit battered and bruised but looking forward the semi-final on 2nd April.
Player of the match was Katie Burling.
